Race Fifteen - Day Three
It's been a while since I've let you know how we're doing on the ‘Navigator’ (our nickname for the boat).
This was because our email system was down, but with the help of our now famous Northern Irish skipper, Sean McCarter, we are now able to send word out to you.
First of all, thank you all in Derry-Londonderry, we had a fantastic stopover and felt really welcome. At the moment in the race, we have done pretty well and are currently in the top 3 sailing next to Henri Lloyd and GREAT Britain.
We are currently on day 4, the first days saw light winds and yesterday we were becalmed for most of the day. This morning, we rounded the top of Scotland, an exciting moment as it is renowned for tidal over-falls and eddies and proper navigation is required. The field is still really close together with 8 boats in sight of each other.
I will leave it for now as Sean is having to type while I dictate by VHF.
Thank you all for your great support.
Talk to you later,
